Russian VAT Calculator

Add or extract Russian VAT at 22%, 10%, 5%, 7% or 0%. Calculate multiple items with different rates, quantities and discounts.

How amounts are entered

Enter the amount excluding VAT. Tax will be added to it.

Standard rate from 1 January 2026. Extract included VAT using 22/122.

Choosing a rate and checking the calculation

Rates checked against Russian Federal Tax Service materials on 15 September 2026.

The standard rate is 22% from 2026; 10% and 0% rates also exist. Special USN rates of 5% and 7% apply subject to eligibility requirements.

The standard 22% rate applies to supplies from 1 January 2026. Adjustments to earlier supplies may retain the previous rate. Advances and contracts spanning the transition need separate review.

0% and No VAT both produce zero tax here but have different treatment in documents. Choose the option appropriate to the transaction.

This calculator helps verify invoice and contract amounts. Document VAT is not the final quarterly tax payable: deductions, advances, restored VAT and other transactions also matter.

Frequently asked questions

Which rates does this calculator support?

Choose 22%, 10%, 5%, 7%, 0%, No VAT, or historical rates of 20% and 18%. Select the rate applicable to your transaction and tax regime.

What is the difference between adding and extracting VAT?

Adding VAT calculates the tax on top of a net amount. Extracting VAT finds how much tax is already included in a gross amount.

How are amounts rounded?

VAT is rounded to kopecks, half up. For documents, the discounted line amount is rounded first, then VAT for that line. Document totals sum the rounded lines.

Does this calculate quarterly VAT payable?

This tool calculates VAT for an amount or document. Quarterly VAT also depends on deductions, advances, restored VAT and other transactions and is not calculated here.
